When a small, but passionate group of volunteers got together to form the South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society in 2019, we recognized there was a need in our community for enhanced palliative services and we knew that there would be interest. But we had no idea the level of engagement and support that would pour in from the community. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us in any way, whether through an encouraging word or a financial donation.

We have some very big news to share:

The South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society is thrilled to be the recipient of a $390,000 grant from the Fulcher Foundation.  This grant will support the recruitment and hiring of an Executive Director for the SSHPCS, allowing the SSHPCS to expand their existing work. We will be advertising for the Executive Director position soon so check back here. At this time we are looking for an amazing individual to join our growing team as our Office Administrator. Consider being part of our team. See the posting for additional information.

The weather cooperated and we had an amazing Gala on January 24, 2026 at the Best Western in Bridgewater in support of South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society. Thanks so much to all who supported this event- attendees, sponsors, and our organizing committee!
