One Smile at a Time…

The South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society is grateful for the support of Tim Hortons, and local owners Lori and Ian McIsaac, and their family. Their commitment to enhancing hospice and palliative care in our community has made a profound impact, and we are honored to share their story.

In both 2021 and 2023, Lori and Ian generously nominated our Society to be the recipient of the Tim Hortons ‘Smile Cookie Campaign’ proceeds from their stores in Bridgewater. This national initiative donates 100% of the proceeds from every smile cookie sold to a local charity or community group. Thanks to the tremendous support from our community, this campaign has raised more than $44,000  for our organization over these two years. These funds have been instrumental in advancing our programs, services, and initiatives, all of which are designed to support the residents of Lunenburg and Queens Counties during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

The impact of this partnership extends far beyond the financial support. It is a testament to the power of community, and the role local businesses play in fostering a spirit of care and compassion. Lori, Ian, and their family have shown that they are more than just business owners; they are true community champions, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those around them.

As we reflect on the success of the 2021 and 2023 campaigns, we are filled with gratitude for the continued partnership with the Bridgewater Tim Hortons community, which has not only raised vital funds but has also brought awareness to the importance of hospice and palliative care.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Tim Hortons, as well as to every community member who purchased a Smile Cookie in support of our cause. Together, we are making a meaningful difference, one smile at a time.
